This show is a mess. International and Shana decided to tear ahead anyway, figuring shit out as they go.
They express dismay at always hearing, “I don’t understand what you guys do” from the world, and confess they’re not fully able to explain what they do, but make a valiant attempt anyway.
International and Shana talk about billionaires wanting to escape to other planets and suggest not ruining the moon like we’ve ruined the earth.
Shana is interrupted by her buzzer, and International suspects it’s one of her Latin lovers. Is it?
International breaks down more what the New World is; namely, a consciousness and the manifestation of that consciousness in material form. He explains to Shana that when humans live according to the principles of the consciousness, the New World comes into existence. Shana hears that and has an orgasmic-like, ah-ha-moment paradigm shift, right before our ears.
Shana and International conclude by bringing up the notion of who or what humanity’s real antagonist is. Then they proceed to NOT TALK ABOUT IT AT ALL, causing the ending to fall flat. Way to not cliff-hang effectively. Don’t expect a surge in listenership next week.
Despite all its flaws, however, this episode was a hit with those that hear it first to make sure it isn’t total garbage. It successfully captured the raw, magical, whimsical quality of New World living.
